The Session
The set ups will be planned prior to your session based off of what we talk about during the initial consultation. If you have seen a prop or pose that your particularly love please let Elly know before the session. This also goes with colors or props you don't like!
For outdoor sessions, we discuss the location, the clothing ( colours and styles) and your vision about the photos. Elly offers a collection of maternity dresses and also dresses for family sessions. All props and outfits for the newborn session are provided by Elly
Locations:
For the newborn shoots either you come to my studio or I come to your home (small travel fee might apply).
Maternity, family, and baby are done on location.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
Best time for bookings is the second trimester of your pregnancy.
I take limited newborn sessions per month and my schedule is usually full months ahead.Plan your booking early.
Can I still book if my baby is already born?
Yes, absolutely possible. Sometimes I have spots available, so you might be lucky. However I don't take babies, older than 6 weeks for a newborn session.
when is the best time for a newborn session?
Best time for a newborn session is within the first two weeks after birth. After the 14 th day mark, sessions become a bit more difficult in terms of sleeping and posing, but not impossible.
when is the best time for a maternity session?
Best time for a maternity session is between 32-35 weeks of pregnancy.
Do you offer maternity dresses?
Elly has a constantly growing collection of maternity dresses and drapes, available for clients to use during their session. Dresses are carefully selected to match Elly's style.
Clients can also rent a dress from Mama Rentals, who offers stunning dresses. By mentioning " Captured by Elly Photopgraphy", you will get a special dicount.
Do you send an online gallery with the files, so we can select our favourite?
yes, you will be send an online gallery and you will have 5 days to chose your photos.
I am not interested in prints, can I get only digitals?
Yes, of course.
Do you do newborn sessions in client’s home?
Yes, I can come to your home for an in-home relaxed session if you prefer. I can bring some props and wraps with me as well.
Majority of my sessions I do in my studio.
Do you work on the weekends?
yes, I can work on the weekends. Ask for availability.
Should we bring any outfits and props for the baby?
Elly has a constantly growing collection of newborn outfits and props, but if you have something that you wish to be used during the session, you are more than welcome to bring it.
